Teresa Irvin Copenhaver is an associate in the government relations practice of Triad Strategies LLC. She keeps clients ahead of the proverbial curve with her unsurpassed research capabilities, understanding of the public policy process and extensive network on Capitol Hill. Although involved in many issues, her area of focus has been energy issues such as energy generation, retail, and alternative energy issues as well as helping identify funding opportunities for clients seeking economic development grants and public financing, and general issues affecting most businesses.
Before arriving at Triad, Teresa covered the General Assembly for two different news and legislative tracking services, providing in-depth analysis and research for a wide range of clients. As senior vice president of Pennsylvania Legislative Services, she was instrumental in starting a legislative tracking service by customizing the service and software, developing and implementing a marketing plan, deepening client relations to improve satisfaction and retention, and establishing a rapport with associations, businesses, lobbyists, state government agencies, the General Assembly and the governor’s office. Teresa previously worked for a law firm, providing client support, legal research and analysis. Her practice areas were personal injury, workers compensation, divorce, corporate law and estate planning. She has also worked as a documentation specialist and human resource manager for a medical device manufacturer.
Teresa has been actively involved in political campaigns and politics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. Teresa currently serves as the Present for the Susquehanna Valley Jaycees and is on the board of the American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley which serves the south-central residents in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, Lancaster, Juniata and Mifflin counties. She is a graduate of the Class of 2008 of Leadership Harrisburg Area and serves on a committee for Leadership Harrisburg Area. |
