Ron Boston
Senior Associate

Ron’s extensive experience and relationships in the Pennsylvania executive and legislative branches serve him well as a senior associate in Triad’s lobbying practice.

Before joining Triad, Ron was legislative director for the Department of Community & Economic Development, which carries out the administration’s blueprint for economic growth. He worked on many of DCED’s top initiatives, developing a keen understanding of the business community’s priorities and management.

He participated with the four legislative caucuses in developing Governor Rendell’s $2.3 billion economic stimulus package. He also gained experience in finance when he served as DCED’s liaison to the Commonwealth Finance Agency. Ron also was the liaison to legislative offices and lobbyists regarding DCED funding programs.

Before joining DCED, Ron served in various legislative staff positions for 10 years. After an internship with Sen. John Gordner in 1993, he was hired as a research analyst in the Legislative Research Office of the House Democratic Caucus.

Ron’s work as an analyst, researching and drafting legislation and preparing members for committee hearings, launched him into the role of executive director of the Northeast Democratic Delegation for the House. There he prepared legislation, testimony, and news releases for lawmakers. In addition to his other duties, Ron staffed committee meetings in Harrisburg and Northeastern Pennsylvania and monitored funding opportunities for delegation members.

Ron has served as an instructor of economic development policy for Widener University’s master of public affairs program. Ron received his M.P.A. from Penn State in 2000. He earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Dickinson College, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa national honors fraternity.
