At the juncture of where communication solutions meet political strategies, Josh brings to Triad a background in legislative affairs, campaign coordinating, and political media scholarship as a communications associate. He helps to shape client messages through a variety of outlets including press releases, organizational outreach, coalition building, blogging, and issue and news pitching.
Josh joined Triad in 2008 after an extensive internship in the firm’s strategic communications practice. He specializes on issues related to campaign politics and advertising, transportation, education, and several other policy areas.
Before coming to Triad, Josh interned as a legislative assistant to State Representative Jerry Stern, Republican Caucus Secretary from Blair County. While working for the PA House, Josh provided legislative support and consultation to Representative Stern and his staff, researched and analyzed legislation, and worked with constituents and community officials.
Outside of state government, Josh has experienced the action of political campaigns first-hand by serving on numerous campaigns from statewide gubernatorial and U.S. Senate contests to local State House and commissioner races. His background in the campaign arena allows Josh to apply this experience to client communication campaigns and coalition outreach initiatives.
Josh graduated summa cum laude in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Communication and a minor in Economics from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA. He has conducted research on voter registration in the United States, the presidential rhetoric of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, and on political television advertising. Josh is a member of the Pennsylvania Communication Association. |
