The U.S. is facing “a freight tsunami” that will require a highway rebuilding effort similar in scale to the original Interstate Highway initiative, according to Bob Latham, executive vice president of Associated Pennsylvania Constructors and spokesman for the Transportation Construction Industries coalition.

Latham’s comments were broadcast recently on Pennsylvania Newsmakers, hosted by Terry Madonna.
